Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing to lead and manage the clinical services function at a highly rated health center. As Director of Nursing, your leadership will drive overall quality clinical outcomes, customer service, employee relations, and retaining talented team members. You will be responsible to ensure that established clinical systems are implemented and maintained and strive to create a working environment wherein staff is supported and recognized for their efforts to provide quality care to our residents. Building positive relationships with both staff and residents is a must.
The ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator and a team motivator. Productive time management, excellent customer service, and a willingness to teach and learn is a must. A proactive approach is necessary in order to be successful in this role.
Highlights:
- Annual base salary earning potential up to $120,000, with semi-annual bonus program
- Eligible for benefits after 30 days
- Facility is currently under renovation
- Solid census (89% occupancy)
- Clinical support team includes an Assistant DON, 3 Unit Managers, and 1 Infection Control Nurse
- No agency usage
License & Certification:
- Valid Virginia RN license
Education, Training & Experience:
- 5 years leadership experience as a Director of Nursing in skilled nursing / long term care
- A good communicator, willing to collaborate with leadership to problem-solve and provide realistic approaches to improve outcomes
- Passionate about creating a supportive culture, providing structure and solid relationships with staff, families, and the community
- Clinically sound dedication to teamwork, growth and development
- A positive, can-do attitude
